Understanding number statuses
A number's status shows whether it can carry traffic or be changed in the cloudnumbering portal.
Customer actions by status
| Status | What it means | What you can do |
|---|---|---|
| In service | The number is assigned to your organisation and can use its enabled voice and SMS endpoints. | Edit routing, request a PAC, or disconnect it. |
| Port in | The number is moving into cloudnumbering. | Track the request under Porting in. |
| Port out | The number is moving away from cloudnumbering. | Track the request under Porting out. |
| Disconnected | Service and renewal billing have stopped. The number remains eligible for self-service reconnect for seven days. | Reconnect it within seven days if you need to keep it. |
Warning: Self-service reconnect is available for seven days after disconnection. After that, the number leaves your reconnectable inventory.
Filter by status
- Go to Number Management > Number Inventory.
- Select More filters.
- Under Status, select In service, Disconnected, or All.
The filter offers the statuses customers can act on. All covers in-service and disconnected numbers only — numbers being ported are tracked on the Porting page instead, so they do not appear in the inventory filter results.
Troubleshooting
A number disappeared from the default inventory. The default view shows In service numbers. Select More filters > Disconnected. After seven days, a disconnected number leaves the reconnectable inventory.
A disconnected number is no longer available to reconnect. The seven-day self-service window has ended. Contact support with the number if you need help finding a replacement; recovery is not guaranteed.
